DESCRIPTION :
A set of 6 very elegant knife rests / knife holders in the shape of a horse on a round base and a show jumping fence aside where the knife is placed.
Silver plated with a very fine chiseling on both the base and the fence, showing patterns of stylized flowers and curved ornaments, very charming. Gilt horses in different positions.
France, not later than the 1950s.

A few verdigris stains on 2 pieces.
A few lacks of silver plating, but on very small areas, barely visible.
These very unsual, quality knife holders remain very beautiful, there is absolutely no doubt that your guests will be completely amazed ! I have cleaned the upper parts of the fences which are in contact with the knives, so they have almost no oxidation anymore.
